Pop-Up Rochester was a self-initiated exhibition that transformed a vacant commercial space into a temporary gallery. Conceived and curated by Jessalyn Finch, the project served as both a retrospective and a culmination of the artist’s evolving practice from 2022 to 2024.
Spanning large-scale charcoal drawings, wearable cardboard sculptures, and immersive installation environments, the exhibition brought together multiple bodies of work in one unified experience. By reclaiming and activating a nontraditional space, Finch invited the public into a comprehensive narrative of her practices, one grounded in embodiment, performance, and experimental spatial design.
