Living in the Disconnect

“Living in the Disconnect” leads you through the artist’s brain affected by body dysmorphia. With a history of an eating disorder, the artist explores the challenges of finding self amidst the external forces, trauma, and limiting beliefs. This will be an interactive installation that will include 8ft drawings called “thought spirits,” that capture a moment of what the artist sees in the mirror, as well as an interactive sculptural pathway.

The goal of this exhibition is to create a reflective dialogue around body dysmorphia, beauty standards, and self awareness while using mindfulness techniques to quiet the negative self talk and find acceptance and connection.
